Differences between all the models (9.1, 9.2, STN, ANM, DGM...)
Hi,
Could someone go into a bit of detail about the differences between the various Pure i9 models? The texts on the Electrolux and AEG websites are essentially identical for all models, and I spent a long time looking.
For example, what are the differences between the 9.1 and the 9.2? I read in some French review that there's a small reduction in noise compared to the 9.1, is this true? What other info could help to decide between the 9.2 and the 9.1 (both are available at AEG), like something about its mechanics or the sensors or compute boards, or any difference in the current or future software?
And even within the 9.2, there seem to be three models (PI92-4STN, PI92-4ANM & PI92-6DGM). By digging into the specs I can see one of them has a larger battery, otherwise the three look technically identical - so do the other two models differ in any way between each other? Why does one of them have a sticker that says "Animal"?
I'm confused that the marketers made this wealth of options available (several 9.1 models, several 9.2 ones) without communicating in any way the product differentiation. Any clarifying info would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Pure i9 (called Rx9 in AEG guise) was the original model released. Pure i9.2 is an updated model which is quite similar but is available in three main configurations, with the battery handling being arguably the main difference. The simplest model uses the same batteries and charges them the same way as Pure i9. The middle model also uses the same batteries, but can charge them faster, and the top model uses larger batteries, for extended cleaning sessions. The 9.2 has a different charging stand to improve docking reliability. There are also cosmetic changes- for example the 9.2 has
no clock or numeric display, as most customers use the app anyway. The names of these three 9.2 models vary from market to market, so mentioning them here wouldn't help.
There are also differences in which roller brushes are used on some models, and you can set three levels of cleaning power on a 9.2 instead of a 9.1. The lowest setting on the 9.2 is quieter than the 9.1.
Software releases are currently made available for both i9 and i9.2 models, with small changes to compensate for the different capabilities of the robots. All major features to date are available for both robot types.

Hi mark, thank you, this is helpful!
[Sorry for asking the same question twice btw, one had been stuck in moderation for a while]
where can I purchase i9.2 electrolux vacuum in USA? thanks, sheri
Don't think you can. They've dropped the price 3x now on the older, USDM version. My guess is that they are trying to liquidate the older stock. The original version isn't worth owning due to the tiny battery.
wonder where can i buy pur i9 performance kit in USA?
Haven't seen the filters for about a year. I also can't locate any 3rd party knockoff type.
The one in the bot is washable.
