Second level cleaning

Hi, we have a small room upstairs I would like to have the robot clean now and then. Is it possible to just carry it up and let it run random? What's the best way to go about this? I also saw in the manual that a second charger can be used but I can't find where to purchase this and if it's worth it.

Yes. The bot should create a new map.

If the room is small, you probably don't need a second charger. Just charge it downstairs, lift it to the upstairs room and start it in the middle of the floor. Then it will finish the cleaning and then return to the start position when done, so you can carry it back down and charge it.

  • When I tried this the bot just added the upstairs to the downstairs map resulting in a jumbled overlay of both levels. It didnt create a second map. Dunno what I did wrong. Can’t find anything in user guide about maps.

Did you have any rooms added to the first map?

Did you carry the charger upstairs or did you just start the robot from the floor?

Either way, it sounds like the robot thought it was downstairs due to similarities in the environment. Are the two floors very similar in some parts? Especially close to where the robot started upstairs.

excuse the late response - but a further question - does use of a second charging base *absolutely guarentee* that the maps of the two floor/levels do not get muddled up? What are peoples' experiences of using two charging bases?

Hi. I´m also having issues with a second map for two levels.

I have the charging base in my first floor and it created a map with rooms for that.

Now I brought the robot to my second floor (without charging base) and started a complete cleaning. After cleaning I can see an "unnamend map" in cleaning history, but I can´t save that second map.

    Am I doning something wrong?
