No map in history??
Hello everyone.
Probably someone had similar problem... Purchased my PUREi9 a week ago, seem to be working alright, BUT it doesn’t transfer any maps on the cleaning process to my iPhone app. Does anyone know how to fix it? My Elly uses original 32.26 software as it was supplied with. Thanks.

Hi Kirk
Welcome to the community!
THe simple solution to the problems is to upgrade your robot to the latest software. That will fix the problem.
If you cant find the upgrade you can click on robot settings in the app. Next to firmware 32,26 you should see a blur ring with a 1 inside. THat means that there is an upgrade available.
If the "blue ring 1" is not there and it says anything else than 35.16 you need to restart you Pure i9 to get contact with the cloud again.
A restart is made by pressing play/pause on the robot display for 8 seconds. THe display will show OFF, when it goes black you can insert the robot in the charger to start it again.
Hope this solves the problem -

Can you send us log files after a failed update?
Instructions to get the log files:
Remove the dustbin. On the left side, there is a micro USB port. Connect a computer to that and it will show up as a USB memory stick. Copy the files and send them to [email protected] so we can have a look at them. Please refer to this post in the e-mail.As @MartinKwarnmark said, turn robot off and on again by long pressing the play button until the display shows OFF (takes about 10 s). Put it in the charger again and wait for the robot to start. Place the robot close to your wifi to be sure there is no problem downloading the software. Use the app to start the update. If it fails, send us the log files as described above.
There is however another possibility: See https://www.electrolux.se/wellbeing/discover/robot-vacuum-cleaner-purei9/software-update-with-usb-connection/
In step 4 please click eject (or safely remove) mass storage to be sure the whole update file has been transferred to the robot.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your help. I’ve tried to update robot’s software couple of times without any success... it drops the process halfway through. Also, I stumbled across another discussion thread on this forum about 35.16 software version. Looks like it is even more buggy than the previous ones. So I’m a bit reluctant to go for it till the next version comes (December 2018?).
Another thing, I’ve scheduled some days for cleaning yesterday, but today it shows me “no cleaning scheduled” message in my app. Don’t the initial software version 32.26 have those options working??
Thanks.
Hi Kirk,
Have you tried to turn the robot off and on again?
@NiclasK if the reset does not help what do you think of this?
Problem solved. Upgrade went well. Thanks.
I have had my pure 19 since February and love it, I made a map of my go u 're and created zones which I used all the time. A few days ago it started to only go to 1 area even though I wanted to go somewhere else, I decided to delete the map and make a new one. Salvador is his name took all day to clean my whole house I was hoping this would create a new map but it hasn't please help what do I do. I have restarted it and it also has the latest software
Hi Linda,
This could be a cloud connection issue where it failed to save the maps. You mentioned you had deleted all maps before starting a new run. Do you see anything in the history after the new run or is that empty too?
Feeling very disappointed. Day 1 using purei9.2. It fails to record maps, does not blink when running out of battery, and has on the two uses simply run out of charge without finding home. On the second occasion it stated it had finished cleaning but had failed to clean a large area.
? 1. How do I get it to map?
?2. How does it lean whet its base is?
it is running firmware 40.18

Hello,
I am using Pure i9.2 since yesterday. I am happy with the robot as it managed to clean most part of my complicated flat (only failed to enter 2 rooms, but I am confident it will find them soon).
But it did not create any map. There is a 46m² map in the history but it is without any name and it did not lead to the creation of a map in the map section, although the robot did return on its own to the dock at the end of the cleaning.
Software is 41.14. Could not find anything to upgrade it in the Wellbeing app.
Does anyone know why no maps are created?
Regards.
Hi!
Sometimes the robot gets lost, but manages to find its way back to the charger anyway thanks to some of its recovery strategies. In such cases, the robot doesn't really know where it was at all times, and therefore it can't "trust" its internal map.
The robot needs to be sure during a whole cleaning that it knows where it is before it can save a map for future use.
If the robot takes a long time to get back to the charger after it turns off the fan and turns on the light on the "home" button, this can be a sign that it has been lost, and has to search for the charger. In this case, see if there are any obvious places where the robot can get stuck or slip a lot (typically loose rugs etc.). Temporarily remove these if you can, and see if this helps the robot clean without getting lost. Then it will make a map and you can replace your rugs and mark them as "avoid zones" so it won't keep getting stuck there.
The robot should automatically update its own SW to 42.19. Are you leaving it switched on in the charger while you aren't using it?
