My robot can never finish the house cleaning in one go, it needs to stop and recharge the battery. And after hours of recharging time it finishes the cleaning in only 5min since there is a small area left to clean.
So my proposal would be for the robot to calculate - based on historical data - how much it really needs to recharge in order to have a faster cleaning.
Result would be a faster cleaning time.
I think it would be good to make configurable carpet cleaning. If I understand correctly the robot specification has already had the skill to distinguish the carpet with other type of floor. From the app it would be great to have a checkbox which help to prevent cleaning of the carpet.
My main intention behind the request is that most of the time my robot's brush stuck in the carpet completely (I believe it is because of the density of the carpet). Now with the new update 35.16 a new symptom was also appeared. Robot stops cleaning as it says its right 'leg' stuck....
Thanks in advance any kind of help.
Lots of homeautomationsystems use MQTT. I use openHAB (Home Assistant, housebot etc. use/support MQTT). Just basic functions at start as command and status. local net only, Pure I9 just need to connect to local brooker, Wish list: getting access to all data even the map.
(yes you have the IFTTT but that is too slow, too cumbersome to set up commands).
Use case easy to setup in houseautomation system: start cleaning when house locked/alarmed, pause cleaning when phone or doorbell rings, timeout alert when not return to charge, stop cleaning when house is set to sleep etc..
PS. I use IFTTT to openHAB today and it works ok for Pure I9 status but have a delay of >10 min on commands, need to set up 1 applet for each command (help me if i am doing wrong) DS.
Create a component for Pure i9 in Home Assistant, similar to irobot, Dyson, Neato etc.
One of the coolest things of the robot is the recorded activity function. It's super cool to see the map (where it has cleaned) plus some statistics of cleaning time and area.
I have a dream to one day be able to:
1) say "clean the kitchen" and the robot goes and clean my kitchen only;
2) open the app and select in the "home map" the kitchen or only a small part of it and click: clean! So the robot goes and cleans only a small part of my house.
- Number 1 would be a great benefit for users who like voice assistants. Although this would be already available with the IFTTT implementation, sometimes I don't want the robot to clean everything (= all the home) again;
- Number 2 is in my point of view a more automated/improved way of the spot cleaning function. I'm not a big fan of this function since it's quite manual to place the robot here and there, and it works - in a way - like a "normal/manual vacuum cleaner".
Sorry for the long post, but if I'm not mistaken this would not be impossible to implement
In summary the request(s) would be:
a) have a home map function which would enable us to name each of the rooms (eg kitchen, living room etc)
b) by doing so, we could select a room (or even part of it) for the robot to clean
As you know, the purei9 has these 3 roller wheels which because of the small size rumbles loudly on tile floors and grouts lines. I have muffled them by sticking wider hard slider skid pads underneath, with the one at a back slightly higher by foam tape to keep the brush and sensor working. Hope it helps for those who are getting complaints from downstairs neighbor.
